470 Neck Road, China, ME. This home, it's ell, barn, and some of its outbuildings still stand but has been modernized over the years.
Starting with the home - much of the front façade has changed due to new windows and doors, but the overall shape is the same. A three-piece window was added to the main floor (towards the left in this photo), and a set of three smaller windows added to the basement level. The enclosed porch in the front has lost its two windows in place of a singular one, and a door was constructed below it. Both the upstairs windows facing the road have been replaced with modern double-hung windows.
We can only see the left side in this photograph, and much of this is blocked from the road in modern day by landscaping and hardscaping (a stone wall retaining wall was cut into the hill across the front of the home). The siding is now modern, and the roof is now metal. Several of the chimneys seen here are gone - only the one at the far back right corner and on the ell still stand.
The large barn in the rear still stands, however it can not be seen from the road. The buildings behind the home in the center are gone, and have been replaced with a single-story shed/garage. The taller garage still stands, but is hidden in this photo behind trees.
The large trees in front have been removed, and as mentioned above a stone retaining wall was cut into the hillside along the front of the house. From the wall to the road has been paved, and a new driveway was cut near the property line to the right in this photo. That field is now fenced as a paddock/pasture.
