Oleander Market, Adams & S. Cedar Ave, Oleander. Oleander Market building is no longer standing. Neither is old school house building.

The Oleander Market building is still there. The name has changed though. It's Adam's Market now. It's on the southwest corner of Cedar & Adams, just southeast of Easton & halfway between highway 41 & highway 99...

Thank you for the info, but according to historical imagery and the photo, the building was a lot closer to the street than the view today. The building now is about 100 feet from Cedar Ave instead of 20 ft. Was the building moved or is it a whole new building?

Is the large white building you refer to confirmed to be a school house building? I know that property was the estate of John Wesley North who died around the 1890s. Also the founder of the city of Riverside. Did it later become a school house?

Best I can determine , Adam's Market is a new building.

As for the school, most likely was Oleander Elementary. This link shows a picture of a similar structure. https://calisphere.org/item/ark:/1303...

@hyedrum the white building is the old Oleander school house. The property did belong to J.W. North but he also owned the property at the NE corner of Adams & Cedar. There is a large house on that lot that looks like it was an older home at one time but has been extensively modified. It may have been his residence.
