Morhardt Farm, now Brescia

my father glen morhardt bought this farm january in 1960 for 100 dollars acre it is 134 acres. my father had the farm for 29 1/2 years before he sold it. he has jersey cows and milked. he built almost every building on the farm. he did not build the house or the big barn. living on shunkhollow was something else during the winter, many a times mt father would help the school bus get up the hills to get back on the road where the driver could make it out on his own. i would get on the bus at 7 am and ride it for an hour to gat to stockton school and an hour home. i wont trade it to live anywhere else. my father would grow hay oats corn for the cows. he would butcher the beef himself until it was a law that you couldnt do it anymore. he had an apple cider press and we would gather up apples and make cider and he would dump the pulp and seeds in the back pasture and when the seeds grew to small trees he would plant them around the farm.living on the farm was the best thing ever. i remeber when my father sold the farm that i just wished i was able to buy it. loved the farm
