Gordyville
Looking SE at the intersection of U.S. Route 136 and County Road 2200E, about 1-mile west of Gifford, Illinois. Today, this area is called Gordyville. The Stagecoach Steakhouse & Saloon is located in the red brick building, the small house is still there, and Gordyville USA Arena is located behind the house.
Before this became Gordyville (Gordy and family are my cousins) this place used to be known as Jimmyville? (as I remember) Which was a refurbishment center for (Chrysler??) automobiles. Back then they were known as corporate, demo, rental, fleet cars now referred to as "Program" cars. I can remember seeing that field to the south full of cars at times. Across the street (north) and I believe just west was housing for many of the employees, which as my dad told me "not the place you want to be during daylight and definitely not after dark"
