McClure farm NW of Tennessee
This farm is where my grandparents raised my dad, Leroy, and his sister Helen, and where my brother and I were raised. From information passed down to me, my grandpa Neal and grandma Marie moved here from his parents farm just to the southeast of this property a few years after they were married. It is still in the family, though it does look a little different now and some changes had been made by the time we came along! The home north of the hard road no longer exists and is all tillable now. My grandparents house has had to be torn down in recent years :( , couple more sheds added and a couple are no longer there. The building in the northeast corner is a one room schoolhouse (Cherry Grove) that sat on the north side of the road to the east when it was still in operation. My dad and my aunt both attended school there, my dad (the younger of the two) only for a few years before he had to go to school in town.
