I believe this is the farm where I lived from 1958-1959. It was owned by Joseph and Elsie (Schultz) Volmer in the early half of the 1950s. It is on Streit Road just west of the railroad tracks. After their death in 1955, my parents, Alois and Maria Volmer lived there from 1955 to 1959. The farm is now the Mary Ann Beebe Center. The buildings have been torn down. Joe and Elsie died in a collision with a train at Streit Road and the railroad tracks in December 1955. Alois and Maria moved to 10605 Charles Road, Woodstock Il in 1959.
