This is my home now! Very cool! There was a huge addition added to the house in 2006. The barn isn't there either. The driveway no longer wraps around the back of the house.
My mom and dad,Donn & Marguerite Johnson purchased this property in 1946 after dad came home from WWII. He moved his garage business from Aledo to this location & opened Donn's Garage. He died in 1961 and my Uncle Ernie Dillie & mom ran it till 1963 when it was closed. We owned the property till around 1971 or 72. The garage burned down in 1969.
My parents Donn & Marguerite Johnson purchased this property in 1946 when my dad got back from WWII. He moved his garage business to this location from in Aledo,Il. He ran it until his death in Sept. 1961. My Mom & my Uncle Ernie Dillie ran it till 1963. Mom rented the garage in 1968 to another garage business, the garage burned to the ground in Jan. 1969, we owned the property until sometime in the early to mid 70's .
