South Pekin Airport
Never was South Pekin Airport. Always was Pekin Airport. Worked in the soy bean fields there as a kid. First job for many of us from South Pekin.
My dad (R.J. Snell) was the first airport manager there. Late 1963-1966 I believe. My brother and I had good times there!
I recognize the name from early 50’s. Built a hose which from the air looks like a plane.
