Cherry Valley, IL, near Cherryvale Mall, facing southeast over the bypass. This farm was on (what was) Charles Street, near where it intersected with Bell School Road, and was taken down in the early 1970s to make way for the mall. As of 2018 this remains empty land. Remnants of old Charles Street are visible in the lower left corner.
Previous comment was good except view is facing northwest, not southeast. Previous commenter must've been tired after looking at hours of photos. ;)
I think it's very interesting to see how much has changed with old aerial photos such as this. Wonder how it felt like to live in a house near the mall and see them slowly construct the large building.
I want to know what happened with Charles Street. What were the construction projects for? Did it have to do with the construction of Cherryvale Mall?
