Our farm from 1940 through mid 1990's

Grew up here. Parents purchased in 1940. White "wash house" building bulldozed in mid/late 1980'summer. Many, many trees now growing up the lane & around house. No longer open so you can see the buildings. Slate roof gone, now metal.

"My beautiful barn", a pegged, walnut timber structure, moved to this location from someplace in Ohio (I do know the date) has now been TOTALLY ruined by some recent owner. It has been covered in ugly bright red house aluminum vertical siding, white aluminum roof and a white house garage door. Most of the windows removed. Stands out like a BIG sore thumb next to the house. I sit and car as I drive by our old property now. So very sad to ruin this beautiful, antique structure.
