My grandfather bought this property from Will Altman in the 50's. My parents lived here for 32 years, raising a family of 3. I inherited this prooerty, but sold it because I relocated because of marriage. The garage and she'd to the left of the road are gone. There is a house on the hill behind the big barn. The foundation for the old part of that barn was set before the Civil War. You can see the corn crib part. It was completed after the war. My grandfather added to this barn. The handprints of my family are imprinted in the cement retaining wall on the west side of this barn. The year was 1958 or 1959.
