This is the new house dad Ron"lefty" Howell built in 1964 after he knew the state would be buying our house in the park. He used lots of used lumber, my brother and I and lots of cousins pulled nails for this new house. The bedroom hardwood floors were from an old school in LaPorte, IN Gym that dad demolished. He built a pole barn back the lane to the left of the house for his construction business. It was a much bigger house for us to move to three bedroom for five kids and two baths! And a full basement on Pine road we had a crawl space and two small bedrooms and one bathroom.
