The Hilltop restaurant & gas station was located on Route 36 just west of
Montezuma.

We moved just north of here in 1977. Dad drove a truck then and I remember meeting him down there when he was passing through. It closed down a few years later. I think now it's a community center or something similar, which cracks me up since there isn't a community there. The center would have been built in the late 90's or early 2000's.

My dad worked there as a mechanic with a guy named Nate, that was around 1973.

That is not the hilltop. That is Signal Hill Truckstop. The hilltop was across the highway.

I also worked there in the restaurant for the Wilson's. I was a waitress at night.The year was 1979.
