During the 40s throughout 2012 my parents Bill and Dorothy Coonrod built this farm into what you see. At the left hand corner is the airplane hanger and airstrip that he maintained so he and other flyers could enjoy their love for flying. They enjoyed 70 years of marriage in that house, well most of it. Dad said he had $10 in his pocket when they married so they stayed with his brother and his wife for a while. In all they raised 3 daughters there and passed in 2012. The house was sold to a young man.

My sisters Elaine and Billie grew up in a loving family of hard working farmers. Mom and Dad, Bill and Dorothy Coonrod worked side by side throughout their lives. Mom not only drove the tractor but they also had a lime-hauling business together.

My name is Elizabeth Gould and I am the oldest granddaughter of Bill and Dorothy; daughter of Elaine. I was privileged to spend many summers there. Grandpa taught each of us granddaughters how to drive by using the airstrip and of course we spent lots of time roaming through the barns and outbuildings looking for cats and other fun things. Even though the actual farm house has been sold, I'm lucky to have my parents and my Aunt Sharon living on either side of this farm so I can still stay connected in some way.
