I grew up here and inherited some of this land. My dad was Pat Crowley, his wife was Elsie Connole of DeWitt. Before him, his uncle Mart Crowley owned it. Grandpa Vince had the farm to the east - my dad bought it too. This land has been in the Crowley family since the 1860s when Tim Crowley and Catherine Minnehan, both of Parish Scully, County Cork, Ireland, arrived and settled here in Clinton County with hundreds of other Irish fleeing the famines in Ireland.
