Rita Banowetz was born in the living room of the house, grew up here, and still lives here today. She's 88 years old now. All the trees out front have been removed except for the center bush and the corner tree. The small watershed out front of the big barn is no longer there. The gravel/dirt path across the street no longer goes past the gate. The addition to the machine shed across the street is no longer there either. The corn drying silo across the street is also no longer there. A long white fence runs across the front of the yard and the chicken coop is still out back along with the corn crib. Now out buildings are just used for storage. No livestock on the house side of the road anymore but across the street, a farmer uses the machine shed area to count his cows.
