only the depot is left, the one in the upper right

My Father bought the railroad land, which included the depot, pens for livestock to be hauled on the train, section house where the Family of the man who worked for the Railroad lived. He bought it in the early 1950’s. My Family, Leo and Theora Griffith ran several businesses in the Depot, Griffith Transfer, Griff’s Laundromat and Dry Cleaners,The Purina Feed Store for Farmers to buy feed for their stock, Ladies Beauty Salon. Later someone else had The Head Start program for children. I have lots of memories of this Railroad land. I think the train stopped running maybe in 1954.
