This house is still there & fully used! Not to mention the small white building in front of the barn is used being used as a garage & was moved closer to the house in the late 70's early 80's.
Many trees still standing

The house was our Fathers' grandmothers home and he now owns it and all the land. The barn and back shed are now gone with a split level home now just left of where the barn is here. I know we moved into the new home in 1976 so I imagine this photo was taken just before construction began. Our parents raised 8 children in the "new" home and still live there today. The house pictured has been a rental for all these years and has undergone some remodeling as recently as this year. However, it remains quite original with all original hardwood throughout. It's located on 80 acres of farmland in Fairfax, IA.
