Trees are gone and house and machine shed are the only buildings that are still standing. My parents bought this farm in 1953 and moved in with 4 oldest daughters. Daughter #5 arrived in Dec '53, over the next ten years 4 sons arrived with child #10. We had as many as 7 kids catching the school bus in the fall 1959 and started going to school at Coggon when the public school was closed. The family farm ownership will have new owners Jan 1st 2015. ( my parents were Joseph and Leonore Petrick.)

child #10 was another daughter

The public school was located in Prairieburg, Ia and the farm was only 2 miles NNW.

Mother has a copy of this picture on the wall where she lives in assisted living.

You are so blessed to find this!

New owners have added 2 stall garage to house and a new Machine shed. Old machine shed is still standing; remaining buildings and trees are gone. Picture for that address needs to be updated.
