This is my Grandparents home. They cared for their animals, Papaw had away with growing his plants. His land was special it was a gift from. God and he a Mamaw took care of and never let God down. Patty and Kenny spent the most time there then me Alisa. I loved my grand parents. I liked following my grandfather, sometimes we would walk fence line and Pull out the weeds. We would pick up black walnuts. I follow along when he was hunting rabbits and squirrels for dinner. I got choked on a rabbit bone I guess that’s what I get for hunting rabbits. I tagged along in the Holler with him when he was burning out the fox nest because they were eaten all the chickens. He told me to stay put and I did and then he said Alisa come on now let’s go and when... I stepped over the log I stepped in a bumblebee nest and got stung between the eyes.My face Swelled so much you couldn’t tell who I was look like a little China doll. I think Papaw would like me to stay at the house with mamaw.

Papaw told me this was very special land. I could feel it too, I loved the land and the home they made, was a good place.

Time changes to quickly my grandparents are lone gone. The farm has not been loved the way our grandparents had loved it for a lifetime , neglected , run down. Our grandparents parents thought they handed to the Chosen caretaker to protect and care for the special land but that’s not the case. Only time will tell now. Not starting out very well When they tell the Eldest she’ll be arrested if she comes on the property to get her things.
