Bernard Nadeau homestead. Oakfield, Maine

I grew up here. This is what I call "home" even though the farm was sold and has left the "Nadeau" name. It has had several owners in the past 28 years. A lot of memories on this farm.

This is on Ridge Road in Oakfield. Home to the Nadeau family for many years. My husband's childhood home.

this farm set on 360 acres of land, farm land and woods dead water with brook, good hunting and fishing. If you were brought up on a farm like this one you were taught how to operate equipment, weld, plant, harvest potatoes,do chores, work in the woodspick rocks, hand hoe, pull kale and help your mom with the dishes. The driveway was 1 tenth of a mile long, You knew how to plow and shovel snow in the winter months.Love and respect were shared on a farm like this one, Bernard and Iona Nadeau loved this homestead, brought up their family here................ do I know what Im talking about, sure do.......my name is Billy and thank you for listening.

Amen, Billy....a lot of things we did and learned out of necessity, aren't even taught today...I was stick welding farm implements with my grandfather when I was 8 years old...lol...

Are you all related to Henry and josephelle nadeau
