This was the Lynds homestead on the corner of the Main Highway and the Britton Road in Monticello. I remember the older Lynds, Don, living here.

This was the Buryl Foster farm. He rented out houses all over Monticello. The big house is where the first house on the corner of East Road is now. Jesse Swimm (17 kids) lived in the back part (long two-story side) and the front house (up & down) and the Charlie Green family lived in the 3-story front building (up and down) and then his son Earl Green and his wife Effie lived there. My mother stayed there for about a week to help care for the Green's daughter Nancy when she was born.
Buryl Foster's son Wendell also lived in the back part of the house at one time.
This was the Homestead of John Folsom one of the first settlers in Monticello and the forefather of all the Monticello Folsoms, He also operated a stage coach stop here and helped with the building of Route #1 thru here.
