Lambert Boyd Farm. Purchased in the 1980s by Jim Malloy.
A lot has changed since this photo was taken. The house and the barn are completely redone. Lambert L. Boyd had a five daughters and one son. The girls were Faye, Judy, Claudia, Sheila and Laurie and son, Lambert L Boyd, Jr.
This was a great farm to grown up on. We had about 20 head of cattle and Dad sold milk for years. Also seemed to have a pony as part of the livestock - Tony, Apache, Peggy, Shelby, and Tammy I recall. Used to climb the mountain most springs from a path my father showed me on our farm. The Millers were our neighbors as well as Oscar Kilcollins who was a great carpenter and had some amazing tools. The Boddie Gray family lived not far away also. The farmers in that time - 1945-1963 always helped each other get the harvest in or when a cow as ill or an animal had to be put down. People were always welcome to the Boyd farm and the coffee pot was quickly started and dessert served in the large kitchen.
