We bought this farm in 2013. It was built in 1928 by Louise Bishop. Later owned by the Ayoob and then Foster families. The large section of the barn behind the house was torn down by the Ayoobs. The small section is now a garage. The barn by the river belongs to S Rogeski.
I grew up in this house. I remember the day the barn was torn down. We lived here from 1968 to1987, I think. Allie Ayoob
Many people had accidents over the bank across the road from the house, and I remember sitting up with my mother waiting for ambulances to arrive, while looking out the window with her. She would hear a crash and call for help. Someone hit the big tree at the end of the driveway before we moved here â it was removed before we moved in. I loved growing up in that house. So many memories of family baseball games in the summer, sliding down the big hill in the winter, playing the piano in the music room, and listening to all the greatest music from my father's generation, my neighbors generation, and from my own folk and rock preferences! It was a true home to a big family!
