Used to be owned by Ricky Landeen's family, now TW Willard, and Comfort Creations.
I knew it as big johns grocery.
Looking for the view from the other side of the road. C. Ford Merritt Homestead and farm.
My mother and father owned this store until 1961 when they sold it to Bob Bouchard; it was called Elwin's Service. The farmland behind the store was owned by Raymond Moore who lived on Main Street in Caribou and Ford Merritt lived across the street and his daughter and her husband lived in the next house toward Caribou. There were very few houses on that section of the Sweden Road at that time. The store no longer exists; it was torn down a few years ago.
