Photo 49-OAR-5

This is the Silver family farm on the North Wade Road in Wade, Maine. I owned this property from 1999-2002. Loved it there. Many of the buildings are still standing, although the potato house may have been torn down since I sold the property. The tree in the bottom center of the photo is a Nutting Bumpus apple tree, so I was told, a species developed locally by a Mr. Nutting, who was once the 'Johnny Appleseed of Aroostook. It is now 40' tall!

The house to the right was my grandparents house, Roy and Hazel Campbell. They lived there for about 60 years. My grandfather had part of the garden for his own use. I remember well Claire and Ruth Silver who owned the Silver farm.
