Lavoie Dairy Farm. Rte 1 Madawaska, ME. That is a Dairy Bar in the middle. The house still stands. The rest of the buildings are gone. Acadia FCU (Formerly LaVallee FCU) stands there today.

Went to school with Aurel Lavoie, been years since I have seen the farm or Aurel.

My husband Gerald P. (Tobee) Deschaine, worked there from age 9 until he graduated in 1960-61. He enjoyed working with a Mr. Levesque who worked there for many years. They remained good friends & Tobee remained good friends with the family, as he saw Bob & Rita's children all grow up there. Tobee started passing the milk daily, then learned everything else on the farm gradually. He always spoke highly of his employers Bob & Martin. Eventually the barn & the dairy bar were taken down but to this day the house remains there.
Later on, the land was sold and the now Acadia Credit Union is built there. To Tobee whenever he go goes to the bank, he's reminded of the years, he worked at the Lavoie Farm. We are members of this nice bank and enjoy their great services.

I remember going to the diary bar on the last day of school for free ice cream....thanks Lavoies

My parents took us to that dairy bar often when we were kids.

In 1962, my parents (Armand Sophie Ayotte) asked Martin to sign a support form for them and 3 of us kids so we could all get a green card and be allowed to work in the USA. There was no hesitation. The papers were signed, processed and we all got our green card. Thank you the Lavoie family.
