Route 11 Ashland Maine - Currently Glori and Barry's

Used to be Giillie Brewer's dairy

I vividly recall every square inch of this homestead. the only place I could ever really call HOME!

This place was my second home growing up. So many memories of Gram and Gramp Brewer, Uncle Carl and Aunt Jane and visits with our cousins.

I remember wonderful Sat night baked bean suppers & all the fixings at the kitchen table with the Wilson & Brewer families. ....beans & bread cooked in the antique wood cook stove. I was the lucky babysitter of the precious 3 Wilson girls whose Mom Joan Brewer Wilson invited me many times for dinner! Wonderful warm memories.

My grandfather built the original house. His name was Charles Byron Weaver. I was in the Army when this photo was taken. My dad's potato field is on the right. My dad, George Weaver grew up in that house. It was the original Weaver homestead on lot 21 to the Aroostook River.

The original barn has since been replaced.

Mrs Brewe was a sister to my aunt, Helen Hubble, who led bed in Mass. My mom was Larene Hubble Brown. I grew up on Ashland, left after graduation in 1959.

Thanks for posting brother Ernie. Yes, the original Weaver homestead that our grandfather, Charles Byron Weaver, built. The Weaver family was raised there before selling it to the Brewer family.
