Business is currently the Muddy Rudder Restaurant, 1335 U.S. Route 1, Yarmouth, Maine. The Cousins River runs along the back side.

I grew up in the big red house about 500 yards north of this on the other side of US Rt. 1. Crossing the bridge in the lower left of this picture put you in Freeport. I rode my bike past this restaurant, The Sea Cove, every day in the summers to go to work at Day’s Crabmeat. There was a mean German Shepard there that liked to chase me.

I worked at the Sea Cove after school and weekends for an owner named “Sam”. He was a great boss who taught me a lot in the two years that I worked for him. I believe that he lived where the Olds is parked in this photograph.
