Gray Rd Cumberland Maine
This is Mel & Mabel Wilson's poultry farm on the corner of Gray Rd. and Mill Rd. in Cumberland. The address was 133 Gray Rd. Mill Rd. is the road in the upper left. The house was built by Mel's great-grand father Ephraim Morrison ca. 1830, and has been passed down through the family to his granddaughter (me) today (1998-). The sun room was added on in the 1920s.The house looks the same. The el has changed through the years and is now a garage on the far end; in this photo it was an incubator room for eggs. All those trees and out buildings are long gone. Most of the background in this picture was dug out for I-295 in 1970 or so.
