Ralph Curtis farm on Rte 169 in Prentiss.

The place I called home for many years, the horse hovel and chicken coop are gone the homestead hads been upgraded a lot since my sister ,Diana & her husband Frank bought it. There is a one car garage attached at the back of the house. The old garage is gone and a new gable style is there The rear treeline keeps sneaking closer . The old tree at the end of the driveway has since been taken down ( old age ) Di has flower beds in several places. Ralph, Birdie and their son Waldron have all passed on. Our Dad & Mom who owned it before Diana lives next door in a newer home

My grandfather, Otis Curtis, and his sons, Ralph and Vaughn, built the original homestead. I wish I knew the year it was built. By the time I was a young child in the late 1940's and early 50's, my Uncle Ralph, his wife Birdie and son Waldron lived in the house, and my grandparents, Otis and Lura Curtis, lived in a little place up the road. My most vivid childhood memory of the house is of the great old farm kitchen. I'm so delighted to find these Prentiss photos!
