Webber Jones
This was my father's junkyard and gravel pit Webber Jones Brownville, Maine.
my brother and I filled many a pothole in that gravel drive while visiting our grandfather - webber jones - during the summer as kids. We have lots of good memories of exploring that junkyard.
This is my grandparents' home and business. I loved walking through the junkyard and getting in the cars and trucks and pretending to drive them. I enjoyed watching my Grandpa work in his garage. It was a busy place and a fun summer vacation growing up.
My grandpa has passed away. No one works in the garage now and the junkyard has been all cleaned up.
This was my dad's home and business. I remember masking cars for him in or outside the garage. We used to ice skate on a pond at the end of the junk yard. Cleaning up in his garage was not so exciting being a teenage girl at the time. Love it!!! Wish he were still here!!
I think my old 58 Ford might still be there,,,,,
I used to work for Bob Searls delivering milk as a kid to the Jones' home before 1962. Attended school with one of his daughters.
Weber Jones was an accomplished mechanic, welder/fabricator, salesman, pilot, and an expert recycler. He also had a cedar shingle mill that he operated on the property.
I left the area in 1963.

Webber gave me a 55 Chevy that I made into a successful race car. His daughter learned to drive raced it through the back roads of the junkyard. I found this out in years later. That made this all worth it's history
