Winnegance Lake in the background, causeway over Winnegance Creek to the right (where is the outlet?). Melvin and Shirley Pratt's house on left (current David and Katrina Barter residence).

This is a good picture Pat. This was before mom and dad put in the picture window in the front of the house.

This is a great picture. Long before the trees were there and all the oaks that line the backyard....

House on the left is 23 Main Road (Rt. 209) and one on the right is 21 Main Road in Phippsburg, Maine. 1856(?) map of Sagadahoc county shows both houses in existence at that point in time.

Dad (David Pratt, born 1944) tells a story of a blizzard that drifted up the entire first floor of the house...he had to climb out the second floor window in order to get out and shovel them out.

BTW, roll 19 in the 1968 series has another picture of the same houses but taken at a vantage point to the right of where this one is taken.

BTW, I goobered the names...it should have read Shirley and Anna Perkins Pratt.
