This is the grounds of the Skowhegan State Fair in Skowhegan, ME. According to their website http://skowheganstatefair.com/index.html they are the "nation's oldest consecutively running agricultural fair", which has been held since 1818.

my father was maintaince man there for 12 years in the mid50s. it has changed dramatically since then.

I also have photographs of the steam trailer caravans that was there in the 50s. since the 50s theres a new roof on grandstand. half of the old one was blown away from a mini tornado. my father and crew put it back on. under the old grandstand was a nature set up with fish and deer in a pen. people threw money in the pool and dad would take all to donate it to charity.
