This is a photo of Brick Hill Farm, which was owned by the Biles family for 100 years until 1989. The farm house was built in 1751. The barn was built about 1860; it has been torn down since the sale in 1989. The farm house is now in disrepair and possibly abandoned.

This farm, Brick Hill Farm, had been in the Biles family of Fair Hill, Maryland, for over 100 years until its sale in 1989. The farmhouse was built in 1751. The barn, since torn down, was built around 1860. The property across from the farmhouse was the location of a brick kiln, from which the bricks for the farmhouse were fired, thus the name Brick Hill Farm. At some time in the 1970's, Elizabeth Miller Biles suggested naming the road in front of her farmhouse Brick Hill Road, which Cecil County did.

I stopped by Brick Hill Farm today 5/21/2022, and was shocked to see the utter degradation of the property. I have more than a passing interest in the building. My 2d g. grandfather died here in 1904, his daughter was the wife of G.W. Biles, the onetime owner. They are all buried just up the road at Sharp's cemetery.
A pity the site was never given historical designation and protection before it became a complete ruin.

I cannot even go look - it breaks my heart.

"Heartbreaking" Yes, verging on criminal neglect. I walked around the main house and apparently someone, squatter or otherwise, lives in the rear portion of the house.
I took several photos of the property, i'd be more than willing to share.
We are undoubtedly cousins. I am a genealogist/family historian and would very much like to speak with you. My late mother was before her marriage, Eleanor B. "Muffy" Quein, daughter of George Algernon Quein. She was born at the Quein farm near Providence, C.C. Md.
All best,
Jim
