Church in unincorporated area of Scottdale, Royalton Township, Berrien County, Michigan. Church built 1892, dedicated 1 January 1893. At least three different steeples documented since 1893 (various photos). Cemetery land owned by Royalton Township since 1881 (St. Joseph Herald). Just south of cemetery along Yellow Creek was location of a steam powered grist mill built, c1850s by Curtis Boughton and George H. Scott (US Non-population Census, 1860 Wall Map). Intersection in 1850s-1860s known as "Scott's Mills" (local papers c1850s). In 1897 just across this road was a stop on the Pere Marquette RR, and later electric Interurban known as Scottdale.
