What a wonderful place to raise our children, Todd, Scott and Paula. We spent 30 years working on additions and updating our home. Raised pigs to pay for a new deep well. One year an old sow was ready to have piglets and she insisted on having her litter outside. Try as we did to put her in the barn, she ran away to her outside site. That night we had a ice storm and we lost the whole litter of baby pigs due to freezing.

We ran a successful plumbing business which continues under the ownership of our middle son at a new location.

Had horses and raised feeder cattle. Just a small farm operation that taught our children the "VALUE OF HARD WORK"! Baled hay, planted corn, etc.

One New Year's eve our MYF youth's from our church spent the night at our house because of a sleet storm. Fun when the childrens friends came by.

Even the hard times were GOOD.
