Spartan Stadium. Tennis courts are now a parking lot.

Possibly The game Vs. Ohio State on Oct 20, 1984.

Nathan, I have a couple of ideas. First, if you look at the trees in other photos in this roll you can see the trees have full foliage so the discussion about the trees (comments on the linked photo) dropping the leaves is only around the stadium. I think it is an earlier game.

Second, after an exhaustive search I found a few better photos of this old scoreboard. The team scores are at each side of the first row of script. To me it looks like the score is 3 to 3. Perhaps you guys at Vintage Aerial Central have a better way to check the original photo. I'll leave it to the sports gurus to figure out which games that could be.

I took a look at the hi-res file of this photo and the one right before it.

You can see the score board much better on this one. I am fairly sure it reads 00 to 3 with 2:08 left on the clock. Cant tell what quarter as I don't know where on the board that number lives.

There have been at least 4 different scoreboards, here is the version in these photos:

You're right, I was looking at an earlier scoreboard. So it is 2:08 in the first quarter, Michigan State 0, visitors 3. That should pin down the game if you can find the game summary.

It wasn't Notre Dame, it wasn't Purdue. So far I'm going with Michigan State vs Indiana 13 - 6 win on Oct 13, 1984. The Spartans did not score until 2 touchdowns in the 4th quarter.

A better possibility: Ohio State was leading the Spartans 3-0 at the end of the first quarter on October 20.

"Tennis courts are now a parking lot."
Who needs physical fitness? Think of the revenue generated by that.
