I was born & raised in Ludington, the old drive-in is no longer there. In it's place is a McDonalds, the Airport restaurant has been gone for many years now.
Many a fine meal was had at the Airport Restaurant, the building in the foreground at right!
I believe there was a dairy queen right around the corner in the 1960s I remember as a child going to the drive in with my brother and sister, of course our parents took us. We would play on the playground equipment until the movie or cartoon leading up to the movie started. Such fun.
Another perspective of this same scene is here: https://vintageaerial.com/photos/mich...
I went to many movies in my younger days there. Bridge over the River of Kwia was the last I remember. There was others after that but I was older and had girl friends with so can't remember the movie
The Dairy Queen hasn't changed much. It's still a favorite stop in the late spring and summer months.
I ran projectors there the summer of 1968. Largest in western Michigan. 400+ cars!
