Old Karnemaat centennial farm. John Karnemaat has given us a copy of the land deed dating March 10, 1857 stating 160 acres was purchased by Thomas Stuart.
He wrote personal narratives of his memories growing up on this farm turn of the 20th century. From the animals they had on the farm, growing produce for Gerber Canning Co. and Pioneer Sugar, threshing season, Brooks creek, attending Brookside school and how the family took their weekly bath!
The farm was sold in 1995 to Terry Acheson, we purchased it in 2006.
