This is where I grew up. The Royal/Frederick Homestead. As far as I recall, the Royal family homesteaded this property sometime before 1900. It was purchased by my grandfather, George W. Frederick, around 1944 and later sold to my father around 1960. Photo taken facing SSW. Property was owned by George J. and Sylvia Frederick at the time this photo was taken.
The house and outbuildings are no longer there. Most of the trees are gone as well.

There is a pond right about where the old barn was. & I think we moved in there just before Joe was born because when Ken was in kindergarten we still lived next door (for a few months). We moved to the "new house" in 1963. That was from research for my class last year & I talked to a bunch of family & our mom.
We lived in the big house when I started kindergarten. I remember meeting the Foggs there in the bus when they were doing their timing run.
I also remember driving the car into the ditch when I was not yet in school.
