This is Welton & Madalynne Ryder's house on Clutier Road , in Bridgeport , Michigan, Saginaw County. This house use to sit in the middle of I-75 some 68 years ago. Welton & Madalynne owned approx. 7 acres that sat on the now I-75 in Bridgeport, Mi. The State moved it from I-75 now, down Clutier Road toward King Road so that US 23 Highway could be built. Welton & Madalynne raised 7 children in this house and the neighborhood had lots of childern in it for the kids to play with. Putting highway US 23 in cut off Clutier Road from it's original length. Clutier Road was named after John W. Clutier and his wife Sarah and was called J. W Clutier's Subdivision in April 1916. J. W. Clutier Subdivision was part of a 306.81 acres owned by William Thomas of Columbia County, New York in (I believe ) 1836 or 1838. The Ryder house Still sets in the same place on Clutier Road.
