My parents were the owners of the Farm Market on this corner. This business started out with just a little shed and we expanded to this market and into the future the house behind the market was tore down and the market was built onto the existing barn
THis corner was owned by my parents and they had an Open air Farm Market where they sold fresh produce as well as other household staples such Milk bread and eggs. The surrounding fields were also owned by them and they offered U pick Strawberries when the came into season. If you look closely there is also a home behind the market and when I married my husband in 1978n I lived there for more than two years before my Dad decided to expand the Market even more by tearing the home down and building an bigger building onto the the barn. He had a great vision and was right on how it helped the business. THis area was and is still known for it's notorious tourist area as it offers several lakes with year round homes for rent and cottages as well. IT was only 12 miles off the Interstate to Indiana and Illinois. The tourist supported all the local businesses and we were very lucky to have such loyal customers. It was a sad day when my parents sold the place, No one put in the hard work that we all did to make it an success.
