School house on east side of Artichoke lake, building and entire grove is gone now.

District 65 - this is the school that my Dad ( Teddy Bakken ) attended - sometimes.
Directly across the road is the farm site pictured in the previous photo - Ida and Merriam Hanson farmsite. I have video that was given to me of when this school was active with schoolkids playing outside.

School District #65 was established here in April 1921. In the 50's it was renamed District #144. This school was located on land homesteaded in 1880 by Christoffer Johnson, who settled about 10 years earlier on the shores of Artichoke Lake. The grove behind the school may have been part of his later 1880 homestead.

This was across the road from Merriam and Ida (Paulson) Hanson (my grandparent's) long driveway. My mom Joyce and her older brother Merlyn and younger sister Lois grew up there. When I was little (late 1960's) I remember migrant workers that came to work in the field around the school house. As others have said, everything is gone now and it is all field.
