Omar and Esther Batalden farm. They lived there from about 1938 to 1986. I am their daughter. It was a wonderful place to grow up. It has been demolished and is now farmland. You can't see it, but the land falls down to HIghwater Creek on the north and west sides. We played down there a lot.

I am the second of four daughters who grew up on the farm. There was a wonderful chain swing on a tree on the south side of the house. I have that chain.

My uncle Art & cousin James farmed near the Batalden farm so am very familiar with this farm.
