This was my paternal grandparents house. They raised twelve children in this home. Just a short ways up the road to the right was where my parents house was. They raised five children there. The old homestead is no longer there and the property was turned into a housing development.
This was my Grandparents' (Oscar and Esther Pederson) farm, long gone and developed by their children as "Sunray."
I grew up on this farmstead. There were 160 acres. The house was a converted grain storage building. There was no heat in the upstairs other that through an open floor register. Bathroom originally was an outhouse with a dug pit toilet. The trailer house was owned by Marshall and Marlene Pederson. The farm had both crops and animals. We had two Minneapolis Molene tractors and one 1946 G John Deere tractor. The John Deere still runs to this day.
