Ted and Florence Johnsens Turkey Farm until approx 1964ish.Gone now are 5 brooder houses behind the barn along with another very old barn. Their son Jason Wheeler and his family moved in when T & F Johnsen moved to Florida about 1964. A haunting experience in one upstairs bedroom occurred when a coat came off the bedroom door hook and floated across the room late one night and a growling noise was heard just outside the door. Next morning long blonde hairs were found on the coat which was back hanging up again. Also a grandfather clock at the bottom of one staircase turned and moved over to block off the stairway one night. I always had an uneasy feeling when upstairs walking from one end to the other.

Spent a good deal of my childhood there and lived there from the age of 13 till 23. I think this photo was taken after Ted and Florence sold the place because as far as I know the new owner is the one who removed the porch roof.
