Purchased in 1971 from George and Leatha Carnes by John and Toni Sawyer both of whom are teachers. Sawyers added large addition in rear, greenhouse and carport. Carport removed and replaced with a two car garage and another driveway. Out building and corn crib removed. Large outbuilding/garage erected to rear of house. In late 1980’s. Home and land originally owned by Hugh Rose and family. Built around 1889 with barn built 1902. Farm pond built in late 1970’s. The Sawyers raised two children in this home (Heather and John Thomas Sawyer. The owners John and Toni Sawyer are still living in the house.
