Great capture of the Sinclair to ARCO transition! Sinclair was purchased by ARCO in 1970 dating this photo to around that time.
A Sinclair service station, in the midst of being rebranded to ARCO, 12410 U. S. Route 50-Ohio State Route 753, unincorporated Rainsboro, Ohio. View looks south. From Google Street View, the station building lasted until, at least, April of 2018. By August of 2023, it was a vacant lot. The delivery truck advertises for Carroll's Potato Chips - freshest in town. They were based in Chillicothe, Ohio.
gman -- you must be a service station aficionado. Not too many people know about the whole Sinclair - ARCO transition period!! I remember this time very well!!
