small quarries and surrounding homes on Noward Rd.
Herb metzger originally owned the 120 acres that was a stone quart operation. Karis and Virgil Hanifan bought it in the early 50’s and built a house there for our family. The farm as sold in 1976 to Tony and Jean Barnum. It was then divided up in later years. There was a lot of history here. And old schoolhouse that was moved in, a carriage house, a show barn for a herd of Angus. One of the first pole barns ever built in the area. A private landing strip and several quarries to enjoy fishing and swimming and ice skating. It was a great place to grow up 7430 Noward Rd!
